UNS Mechanical Engineering Students Achieve Second Place and Best Presentation in LNTRBM 2021

FT UNS – Mechanical Engineering students of Faculty of Engineering Universitas Sebelas
Maret (UNS) achieved an awesome award as the runner-up of the 10 th Annual Machine
Design Contest (LNTRB) 2021. They were also awarded as the Best Presentation team.

The FT UNS team consists of four members, they are Mohammad Inggi Hilmawan,
Adriansyah Bagus Aryanto, Muhammad Imaduddin Hanif, dan Andhika Bagus P.V.P. In
LNTRB 2021 that was held by the Indonesian Mechanical Engineering Corporation Agency
(BKSTM), they competed with 24 university teams throughout Indonesia.

To become the winner, the UNS team passed three stages which are proposal writing, video
presentation, and QnA session. They sent the proposal containing the detailed information
about their tool design that must fit the theme contest which is “Mechanical education game
tool.” After being selected as the 15 best proposals, they sent a presentation video. Last, they
were invited to attend an online Question and Answer session to answer the judges’
questions.

Inggi Hilmawan shared his feeling toward the competition, “Number of the participants drove
us into nervous and pessimistic. Therefore, we didn’t care about being a winner, we just
determined to give the best,” said him. Fortunately, their work has paid off, they got two
awards at the same time.

By competing in LNTRB 2021, they collected wondrous experiences of becoming a
confident participant. “I was pleased with the result, but the more important is we can learn
how to strive with might and main and also trust to our abilities.”
