Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta is the host of the Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) 2021. The final of this annual competition will be last for seven days, November 15-20, 2021. For a week, the participants will compete at the Auditorium of GPH Haryo Mataram UNS.
KRTI is a competition held by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek). In this year, KRTI 2021 will be presenting four divisions: Racing Plane (RP), Fixed-Wing (FW), Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL), and Technology Development (TD).
The competition is chaired by Prof. Dody Ariawan, a professor of Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNS who also serves as the Deputy Dean 1 FT UNS.
The purposes of this competition are
The participants of KRTI 2021 consist of 163 teams from 61 universities from various regions throughout Indonesia, such as Sumatera, Batam, Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and North Maluku.
Each division has a different and more specific theme. RP division raises a theme of “F.A.T (Fast and on Track)”, which means fastest on an eight-shaped track (figure-of-eight). FW division uses a theme of “Delivery of Emergency Packages in Quarantine Area”. Meanwhile, the division of VTOL has a theme of “QR-code based Fast Response and Accurate Shipment Delivery”. Last but not least, the TD division raises a theme of “Innovate UAV Technology”.
Before the final event started, several matters should be done by the participants. The participants of the TD division are required to submit the presentation file and the progress video. The participants of the FW division should hand the NOTAM copy, GCS position coordinate, and dropping zone position in the Latitude-Longitude format. Meanwhile, the participants of the RP division need to submit the document and video according to the format specified in the manual book. Those requirements shall be done no longer than November 12, 2021, at 11:59 PM WIB.
On the first day of the competition (11/15), some activities will be held, namely the participants registration, technical meeting, opening ceremony, participants parade, and flight test. Afterward, from 16 to 20 November, the competition of each division will be conducted. On the last day of the competition (11/20), there will be a closing ceremony and the winner announcement of KRTI 2021.
In addition to being the host of KRTI 2021, four teams of UNS also successfully passed the selection and will compete in the final round of KRTI 2021. The UNS teams are the Shankara team (VTOL), Ernesti team (RP), Bamantara team (FW), and Prigi Baswara team (TD).
